Harvest Moon Dinner-Dance:
RSVP Today – Reservation Required

Invitations have been sent and now it is time for 2026 Century Club Members to RSVP. This is a ticketless event, so reservations are required. This year’s Harvest Moon Dinner-Dance, an elegant affair, celebrating our Century Club Members, is set for October 3rd. This 32nd annual fundraising event, sponsored by Friends of the Library will be held at the Palacios Recreation Center starting at 6:00pm. A prime rib dinner will be catered by Carlos Duran and live music featuring the Grateful Geezers.

Once again, there will be a live auction featuring some of the crowds’ favorites as well as some new items just to keep things exciting. Back by popular demand, we will have a Raffle! Raffle tickets will be available on the evening of the event for $20 each or 6 for $100. The Raffle will feature 5 items, bundled having a value of about $500 or more. You choose the items you wish to have a chance to win.

The Harvest Moon Dinner—Dance is a fundraiser hosted by the Friends of the Library. The funds we raise ensure the sustainability of vital programs that benefit our community. These programs include:

  • Free Public Internet Access: Offering high-speed connectivity at both libraries (Palacios & Blessing), enabling essential access for all.

  • Summer Reading Programs: Encouraging children to embrace reading and maintain academic engagement during the summer months.

  • After-School Homework Assistance: Providing crucial academic support and offering high school students valuable work experience and financial aid for their education.

  • Science Rocks!/Art Program: Engaging participants in hands-on activities, fostering problem-solving skills and critical thinking.

  • Story Time/Pre-K Hour: Promoting child development through interactive reading and related craft activities.

By supporting these initiatives, you directly contribute to our youth's educational development and success. Your ongoing support is immensely appreciated and has a far-reaching impact on our community.

This Year’s Event

Plans are well underway for our 32nd Annual Harvest Moon Dinner-Dance.  It’s going to be a fantastic event starting with complimentary beer, wine and appetizers as you preview our raffle and live auction items, followed by a wonderful Prime Rib dinner and back by popular demand, live music performed by the Grateful Geezers!
